Beyond Creative has been hard at work trying to finish up the latest project, while dealing with other matters in order for the company to grow. It has been so busy that I haven't been able to take any pictures of what I've been working on, but hopefully the (very) soon-to-be bride will send me some photos from her wedding!! Working on customized paper goods was a lot more work than I thought. Escort cards, table number centerpieces, favor cards, buffet menu cards, guest book sign, and gift box—each and every project needed a great amount of research for materials and was quite challenging since everything needs to collapse one way or another, in order for them to transport it to Aruba easily without damaging it. With their wedding coming up in 11 days!, all the projects are falling into place and coming to an end.
From all the pieces that I've worked on, I would like to share my experience working on what turned out to be one of the more challenging pieces out of all. The table number centerpieces. Having a destination wedding, the bride decided that flower centerpieces were a waste of flowers since guests were not able to take them home to enjoy them. Although the venue supplied a lantern centerpiece, I cringed when I visualized an almost rusted silver metal lantern that did not go along with the color scheme. So we decided to create a centerpiece lantern with the table number and their monogram incorporated in it. The idea seemed so simple when I presented it, but the execution of this project was much more complicated than I thought! But my motto is "nothing is impossible". So as hard as it was trying to execute this project so that everything was to my satisfaction, along with the client's specific requests, a tight deadline, and the technical collapsing feature, I was finally able to figure it out! The centerpieces are almost done and I can't wait to see the client's reaction when they see them.
On another note, my clients Y+F is a guest blogger on a website called ourarubawedding.com and has blogged about her experience with Beyond Creative. I was super excited to read about my company on a blog other than my own!! She has wrote such wonderful things about her experience and it was so heartwarming to read it. Thanks for the kind words YF!!
